Creativity has long been a hallmark of the State of Oklahoma. From the bold individuals who staked their claim during the Land Runs to the entrepreneurial spirit that led to the creation of the parking meter, shopping cart and other great inventions that still impact lives today, Oklahoma is certainly a trail blazing state. So it makes sense that Gov. Mary Fallin has declared November 2013 as “State of Creativity Month.” This proclamation coincides with numerous creative events, the largest being Creative Oklahoma’s State of Creativity Forum, taking place across the state in conjunction with Global Entrepreneurship Week, the third week in November.
The State of Creativity Forum is one of the largest creativity and innovation conferences in the U.S. Attendees from across the country will converge on the Civic Center Music Hall in downtown Oklahoma City on Nov. 19th for a day of galvanizing workshops, moving artistic performances, and inspirational talks by some of the globe’s most important creative minds. The theme of this year’s Forum is “Building Bridges.” There are even more offerings on tap for attendees. Read about them here.
