Uncle Sam is known for throwing himself quite the birthday bash. Fireworks, watermelon, burgers, ice cream, popsicles, yard games, parades and more – it’s all a part of the celebration we hold in honor of him and his pal, Lady Liberty. And you can find celebrations all over town. Whether you’re hitting up the neighborhood shin-dig, or that backyard par-tay at your pal’s house . . . or maybe you’re headed to one of the many community gatherings like the Bricktown 4th Fest, Edmond LibertyFest, the Bethany Freedom Festival or the Yukon Freedom Fest (just to name a few), we’re sure that Independence Day 2k13 will be filled with fun, flags, food, friends, family and fireworks.
And if you can’t wait until the 4th to kick off the festivities, we have just the answer for you. It just so happens that you can kick off your celebrating with “Red, White & Boom” on July 3 at 8:30 p.m. This fantastic fun-filled event will take place at State Fair Park and includes a free concert plus the all-important fireworks display.
