In the state where the wind comes sweeping down the plain, is it any wonder that the capital city boast some capital kite/wind-related activities? Lake Hefner is the place where wind powers all kinds of fun. Get friendly with Ben Franklin (though not during thunderstorms, please) and fly a kite on the east side of the lake. You can also kite board and windsurf here. Not quite ready to be so extreme? Don’t fret, all the cool kids are catamaraning! And of course, it’s plain sailing when you’re, well, plain sailing. Afterward, you can celebrate and chill out by listening to OKC’s own Kite Flying Robot. We’ve got the wind to wind you up for all kinds of adventures in OKC.
