December brings cooler temps, hot cocoa and the magic of the holidays. What you may not know, is that is also brings one of Oklahoma City’s most beloved events – Downtown in December! This 40-day series of holiday events takes place Nov. 23 through Dec. 31, and features one-of-a-kind winter experiences.
You can start your downtown in December adventure with a spin around the Devon Ice Rink in Myriad Gardens. Next you may want to cruise down one of the country’s largest manmade snow tubing slopes at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. If you head downtown on Saturday, you can enjoy holiday crafts and entertainment, and even get a free photo with Santa Claus himself. These events take place in conjunction with free water taxi rides, free admission to the Crystal Bridge and varying museums on Sundays and beautiful holiday lights.
