We're sure you've seen the sparkling jewel that is the Oklahoma River, "home" to a number of superstar athletes. But not all of us are exactly the athletic type. Or maybe you are, but you like the idea of exploring the river without having to lift a finger. We've got just the thing for you – Oklahoma River Cruises. Just hope on board one of the Oklahoma River Cruisers and you can explore some of OKC's hidden treasures. A variety of trip options are available from three boarding locations – Regatta Park Landing (aka Boathouse District near the Chesapeake Boathouse), Exchange Landing (just minutes from Historic Stockyards City) and Meridian Landing (situated just west of Meridian Avenue in the Meridian Corridor).
A cruise down the River and back to your starting location costs between $6 and $15 (depending on your age) and takes approximately 90 minutes. Oklahoma River Cruises also offers a number of specialty and theme cruises including Sunset Cruises, their "History Comes Alive" cruise series, Karaoke Cruises (starting in September) and others. We suggest you go ahead and mark your calendar for October 12-27 when they'll kick off their annual "Haunt the River" cruises. Prices and age recommendations for theme and specialty cruises vary so we suggest you check out their website for the full details.
