Remember all the things you used to be able to buy with $1? Ah, the good ol' days. Head over to the Oklahoma City Zoo on Wednesdays and see how far $1 will take you. Every Wednesday during the months of July and August, admission into the Zoo is just $1 for guests of all ages. But the savings don't stop there. They also have plenty of "dollar deals" on Wednesdays, including hotdogs, small drinks, small popcorn, Safari Voyage boat rides, carousel rides and the sea lion show.
If Wednesdays don't quite work with your schedule, head out to the Zoo on Saturdays for their "Stay Late and Play" hours. Now through September 1, the Zoo will stay open extra late (until 8 p.m.) so you can enjoy even more zootastic fun.
And we've got one more way to entice you to hit up the Zoo. Mark your calendar for Tuesday, July 17. Why? Because it's Sales Tax Appreciation Day and every guest will be admitted into the Zoo for FREE! Now, that is some summer fun.
Regular Zoo hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week. $1 admission is only available on Wednesdays during July and August. Admission prices all other days are: Adults $8, Kids and Seniors (65 and older) $5, Children under 2 free.
