Heads up, you unsuspecting but head-over-heels guys and gals! If your valentine has you headed to one of the following locations, make sure to do your hair in your finest tears-of-joy fashion and put on your best threads. Why? You may be in for the type of surprise that includes a bended knee. These spots have been identified by our love doctors as a few of the most intriguing places to pop the question in town. So go ahead, say yes to the request and make St. Valentine proud.

The Myriad Gardens and Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory includes 17 acres of natural loveliness as well as a 224-foot long circular jungle with palm trees, exotic plantings, crashing waterfalls and nightly LED shows just perfect for a ring and prayer. Located at 301 West Reno, the Crystal Bridge is open Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., while the outside gardens are open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The Bricktown Canal is full of nooks, crannies and romantic rendezvous points, as well as all manner of enchanting ways to get around: a quiet walk, a charming water taxi ride, a picturesque Brickshaw or Segway tour, and even horse-drawn carriages. Once she's said yes, you can head over to one of the many fine establishments in Bricktown, perfect for a celebratory toast – Nonna's Purple Bar, The Mantel Wine Bar & Bistro, Mickey Mantle's Steakhouse, or a number of others.

The Oklahoma City Zoo & Botanical Garden is the perfect place to ask your animal-adoring significant other the big question. Malee, the new baby elephant, can help make the moment even more special, especially if you can train her to hand your future fiancée the ring (we don't recommend trying this). Zoo hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Castle Falls will transport your valentine to something akin to a fairy tale. The design? Like a German castle. The cuisine? European. The ambiance? Sure to sweep your date off his or her feet.

Lake Hefner isn't just for exercise, boating and taking photos of the lighthouse. Stop in for a romantic dinner at Redrock Canyon Grill or the Hefner Grill. A bottle of red, a bottle of white and delicious dessert mixes with fabulous cuisine and nightly stunning sunsets to create quite the atmosphere of amore.
