Resident Spotlight
I’m Nancy Anderson, vice president of the aircraft modernization and modification portfolio at Boeing. Oklahoma City is where I started my Boeing career more than 20 years ago working from Tinker Air Force Base on the B1 Bomber program. So it’s extra special for me to now lead the Boeing team in Oklahoma City.

When my husband and I moved back to Oklahoma City from the Cape Canaveral area in Florida in January 2019, we wanted something different so we decided to give urban living a try. The revitalization of the downtown area was our biggest surprise. It has changed so much over the last two decades we almost didn’t recognize it. The energy and culture of the area is amazing, but there is also a sense of a small town, neighborhood feel. Our neighbors span the gamut from recent college graduates and young couples starting families, to retirees. And while it is an urban setting, we feel very safe exploring the area.
My favorite thing about Oklahoma City has to be the variety of food options. Supporting local business is important to me and it seems like new restaurants are popping up left and right. No matter your food pallet, there is something in Oklahoma City for you.
For those considering a move to Oklahoma City, I’d encourage you to have an open mind and experience it first-hand. While the city itself is very large in terms of land mass, traffic tends to be lighter, making for a very manageable commute. The local medical community is one of the best in the nation. For my husband, they detected a medical condition early and played a critical role in saving his life (a huge thanks to the Oklahoma University Stephenson Cancer Center for their incredible doctors and facilities). And finally, the outlook for jobs and growth is positive. Oklahoma provides not only a well-rounded and educated workforce for businesses, but also a wonderful community for employees and their families to live and grow. For your next hometown, Oklahoma City might just surprise you.
