Resident Spotlight
Originally from the Volunteer State of Tennessee, Jenny Sewell found herself in Oklahoma City, where the wind comes sweeping down the plains. She is a human resources staffing specialist at the Federal Aviation Administration Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center. She graduated from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee, with a Masters degree in human resources leadership.
Coming to Oklahoma, she was pleasantly surprised to find that she could call another state home. Sewell says, “Whether it’s supporting the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon, taking part in tourist attractions such as Wheeler District, or tasting a wide range of foods, Oklahoma City offers a variety of activities and events for all ages and interests. It didn’t take me long to become a true Oklahoman. You immediately fall in love with the people, get excited about the city offerings, and you find yourself a part of a community. When moving to another state and/or city, you want to find a place that will not only engage you but challenge you. Oklahoma City does not fail in these areas and it continues to provide opportunities.”
