Looking for a different way to spend a summer evening? Now through September, Oklahoma River Cruises is offering Friday and Saturday cocktail cruises that pair skyline views, sunset scenery and a full-service bar with a relaxing ride along the Oklahoma River.
The 90-minute, round-trip cruise offers a unique perspective of some of Oklahoma City's most recognizable sights, including the Boathouse District and the Wheeler Ferris Wheel. If conditions are right, you'll also catch one of Oklahoma's colorful summer sunsets from the water.
While the atmosphere is geared toward adults looking to unwind after the workweek, the cruise is open to all ages. Guests 21 and older can purchase beer, wine and cocktails from the onboard bar, while snacks, soft drinks and water are also available throughout the trip. Climate-controlled boats, indoor seating, outdoor viewing areas and onboard restrooms help make the experience comfortable throughout the summer.
Most cruises depart from Regatta Landing at 701 S. Lincoln Blvd. on Friday and Saturday evenings. Through August, departures are offered at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., while September cruises depart at 7 p.m. Advance ticket purchases are required, and guests are encouraged to arrive 20 to 30 minutes before departure.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for seniors and children. Outside food and beverages are not permitted, and a valid ID is required to purchase alcoholic beverages.
Whether you're planning a date night, celebrating with friends or simply looking for a new way to experience Oklahoma City, the Oklahoma River cocktail cruise offers a relaxing evening on the water without ever leaving the city.
