The holidays are finally upon us! For every piece of decoration and gift received comes anew. The assortment of boxes, holiday wrapping and party supplies could pack the house in a hurry. What should you do with it all? The Better Life HQ is here to help you sort through everything and determine what is recyclable and what is not.
Studies reveal an increase in annual collected waste between November and the end of the year, and understandably so. Although recycling is not considered rocket science, there are details many of us forget to follow as time rolls on. Below is a breakdown of items that are safe to place in the trash can and those that belong in the recycle bin.
Items to trash –
- Ribbons and bows
- Wrapping paper (with glitter and/or other embellishments)
- Bubble wrap, shipping supplies and foam packaging
- Cellophane wrap
- Used paper plates and napkins
- Used plastic cutlery

Items to recycle –
