Oklahoma City’s Innovation District is an epicenter for collaboration, innovation, opportunity, and economic growth. Claiming 1.3 square miles of the downtown area, the district is home to our city’s bioscience sector, along with many other businesses within the aerospace, technology, healthcare, manufacturing, and energy industries.
In addition to the district’s employment opportunities, they host programming on a regular basis and invite the community to get involved. All event dates and info can be found on their website, but here’s a rundown of several events you may want to check out:
Work Day event with Restore OKC on Saturday, November 13 from 8:30-11:30 a.m.
Members of the community are invited to volunteer and connect with professionals from all over the Innovation District for a day of service in NE Oklahoma City. All volunteers will receive an Innovation District shirt.

Innovation District Cocktails & Collaboration:
These monthly happy hours occur every second Tuesday of each month from 5:30-6:30 p.m. The location rotates between different bars and restaurants in the Innovation District. It’s a great opportunity for networking, and has become one of the most well-attended, consistent happy hours in the city. The first 50 in attendance receive their first drink for free and light appetizers are provided.

Innovation District Walk Over Wednesdays:
Occurs every third Wednesday of the month, from March-Nov., the District hosts a community food truck event at Stiles Park Circle from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. The first 100 in attendance receive an item from the food truck for free and get the chance to network with community members and organizations.

Innovation District’s Annual Breakfast
On Dec. 1, at the OMNI OKC Hotel from 8-10 a.m. there will be a keynote presentation from a cutting-edge industry leader and a high-level look at the Innovation District’s impact on Oklahoma City in 2021.

Car Cinema Night (drive-in movie)
On Saturday night, December 4 as a conclusion to the evening's Automobile Alley Lights on Broadway festivities, the district will be showing a drive-in movie in the Embassy Suites Downtown/Medical Center suites parking lot. A food truck will be on-site making holiday treats, and the district will be collecting STEM games for donations to NE OKC public schools. Each donation will get an attendee a free item from the food truck.
