Take the Bright Path to the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame

Known as "Bright Path" in the Sac and Fox language and the "World's Greatest Athlete" in English, Jim Thorpe is undoubtedly one of Oklahoma's favorite sons. In addition to awarding the coveted Jim Thorpe Award to college football's best defensive back, the Jim Thorpe Trophy to the NFL's most valuable player, and a number of student-athlete collegiate scholarships, the Jim Thorpe Association also administers the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame. This fantastic showpiece museum features exhibits on Thorpe and the winners of his namesake awards as well as Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame inductees, treasured archives from the state's university sports heritage, and other Oklahoma sports heroes. You can visit the museum Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
