It's the season for giving, so why not help out a great cause while doing something good for yourself? The SandRidge Santa Run 5k kicks off at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, with a one-mile fun run at 9:30 a.m. and a Kids' Dash with Santa at 10 a.m. For the fifth year, proceeds of the Downtown in December event will benefit the City Rescue Mission. Last-minute registration is from 12 noon to 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at Schlegel Bicycles, 905 N. Broadway. Day-of registration is 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at Leadership Square.
