The City Rescue Mission has been a beacon of hope for homeless for more than 50 years, providing a safe place to stay and services that include medical care, dental care and addiction recovery. The mission, located in downtown Oklahoma City at the corner of Shartel and California, has special needs during the unprecedented heat wave. If you would like to donate items, the mission welcomes sunscreen, sunglasses, umbrellas, hats, towels, flip-flops, bottled water and Chapstick with SPF. More information is available on its website at www.cityrescue.org.
