Dive into a Good Book

The winter months can mean a little more time spent indoors. Catch up on the books you've set aside while participating in the Metropolitan Library System's 2012 Winter Readfest. This month-long reading extravaganza is for adults ages 18 and over. During the month, you'll receive one drawing entry slip for every two books read. So dust off that reading list you've been making and pick up a good book.

The Metropolitan Library System has 17 libraries conveniently spread throughout Oklahoma County, with a new library in Northwest Oklahoma City set to open in March. All you need is a library card to dive into its inviting world of books, but the Metro Library System offers much more: book clubs, concerts, movies, musical performances, storytime for children and community forums. You can even check out audio books and e-books for a variety of e-readers. Just check out the library system's online calendar of events for more info.
