The rugged pioneer spirit of Oklahoma lives on at historic Stockyards City. The onetime meatpacking town is still the world's largest stocker and feeder cattle market, and this vestige of the Old West offers plenty for the casual cowboy and cowgirl, too. From Western wear to saddle shops, the Stockyards remains a top metro attraction. And Cattlemen's Steakhouse is an Oklahoma City institution all by itself. The venerable restaurant is famous for its lamb fries. Try them, but just don't think about it.
