Oklahoma City's historic Capitol Hill district is one of the more inspiring comeback stories in the metro. Once a thriving southside commercial area, the neighborhood had spiraled into years of decay and neglect before receiving a second chance through Capitol Hill Main Street, an economic development program launched in 1997. Since that time, Capitol Hill has steadily been returning to its past glories. It is now the center of commerce, culture and nightlife for Oklahoma City's growing Hispanic community, boasting a number of wonderful restaurants, bakeries and stores.
